Whether you're hosting a multicultural celebration or just want to add some diversity to your holiday spread, take a look at this delectable (and delightful!) selection of holiday-themed snacks. Not only are these snacks a feast for the taste buds (and they will all fit in any of GoBe’s incredible products), but we’ve also thrown in a few tips on ways to make your holiday eats both delicious and nutritious

The Grinch’s Fruit Kabobs

(Great for ages 2+; Prep Time: 10 minutes)

Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas is an adorable story that carries an incredibly beautiful message about what’s most important during the holidays. Not to mention, the story is great inspiration for a super simple and healthy snack option for your littles! Doubling as both a yummy treat and a fun DIY project for kiddos, these fruit kabobs come together with fruit, marshmallows, and skewers-and that’s it! If your kids are a bit older and would love to get artistic with their treats, a tube of chocolate frosting is a great add-on so that they can decorate the fruit with Grinch faces.

Tip: Feel free to customize the fruit kabobs with your kiddos’ favorite fruits-banana, melon, etc. the options are truly endless here. Not only will you make a colorful treat, but your kiddos may be inspired to create fruit kabobs featuring other holiday characters as well!

Make Your Own Mini Snowman

(Great for ages 3+; Prep Time: 5-7 minutes)

Do you wanna build a snowman? Bring the fun of building one indoors with this fun little DIY snack activity by transforming cheese balls into delightful snowmen! Shape small portions of cheese (or your/your kids’ favorite soft cheese spread) into balls and stack them on top of each other. You can use black olives (or black sprinkles) for your snowman’s eyes and buttons, little carrot triangles for the nose, and pretzel sticks for the snowman’s arms. And of course, don’t forget to serve your snowman with whole-grain crackers for a wholesome crunch!

Tip: Choose cheese varieties that are rich in calcium and protein and the addition of whole-grain crackers add some extra fiber which makes the snack more filling (and fueling for fun play)!

Coconut Til Ladoo (Laddu)

(Perfect for Parents & Kiddo Sous Chefs; Prep Time: 5 minutes; Cook Time: 25 minutes)

Perfect for a sweet treat, ladoos are made with only three ingredients: coconut, sesame seeds, and dates. A traditional treat during Diwali and festivals, coconut ladoos are highly nutritious and rich in minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Moreover, as they are naturally sweetened by the dates, your kiddos will enjoy a delicious treat (and source of energy!) during the holiday season!

Sweet Potato Cupcakes

(Perfect for Parents & Kiddo Sous Chefs; Prep Time: 10 minutes; Cook Time: 14 minutes)

Symbolizing the bounty of the harvest, sweet potatoes are a favorite during Kwanzaa-and these cupcakes are both delectable and rich in Vitamin A. By simply blending the cooked and mashed sweet potatoes into a spice cake mix, you’ll have ready-to-frost cupcakes in less than 25 minutes. Your kiddos will love piping on frosting (and letting their creativity shine with all the sprinkles) which is a major win/win!

This holiday season, bring a burst of flavor and culture to your family gatherings with these fun and festive snacks that everyone can enjoy. By incorporating a variety of colors, flavors, textures, and cultures, you'll not only create a visually appealing spread but also introduce your little ones to a whole new world of diverse and nutritious treats. Not to mention, the holidays are a great time to talk about how the holidays are celebrated in other countries and cultures with your kiddos! Indulge and enjoy these delicious eats with the ones closest to your heart-and last but not least, enjoy all of the togetherness that the holidays have to offer in good health and high spirits!
