Throughout history, the role women have played in society has drastically changed. However, every woman is not just a singular role, but bears several identities simultaneously. She is a woman, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, granddaughter, grandmother, friend, confidant, healer, therapist, leader, business owner, CEO, dreamer, doer, thinker, worrier, worker, supporter, fixer, teacher, student, mogul, champion, fighter, survivor, activist, defender, and a thousand other capacities women fill. Each woman is a pie chart of identities at any given moment. Today, the women of the past, present, and future step into the limelight unified in recognizing our identities and their value. 

 Many women’s voices have risen throughout the years to make significant changes possible, and it is with these voices we wish to weave our own. These individuals laid tracks, trails, and roads for all other women to follow, providing an opportunity to also add their own paths to a map being built every day by every woman. Powerful women empowered women by showing them and teaching them to take opportunities, to be successful, and independent. It is the voices of women from the past echoing today, and those speaking today who empower girls and women to be successful and independent tomorrow. 

Last week, GoBe Kids was honored to be featured on Good Morning America in their “Women Owned Business”Steals and Deals segment. Hundreds of women used their voice to help the GoBe Snack Spinner come to light. As a woman owned business, we appreciate the role the past has played in where we are today. And we recognize the role we want to play for empowering future generations. 

 To women everywhere…. we celebrate you. The roles you play. Your hard-fought losses and victories. Your example. Your voice.
