Real review from someone who bought/used this.
"I'm definitely not usually the type to leave reviews, but I really dislike when some ridiculous Karen thinks it's okay to leave one-star on products - as an inaugural review no less - without buying or testing it when a simple suggestion email would've sufficed. It sucks away motivation for the people who are actually trying to innovate, and gives NO info to those interested in the item itself (well, except the classy response from the company, which they shouldn't have had to do). It's a huge pet peeve. :/ So we took the chance and bought two lids along with an extra large tray, because we were running into issues with prepping beforehand where cut things like quartered strawberries, grapes, etc. would start prematurely drying out in the fridge before the day came to use them. Our son LOVES his spinner so it was worth trying to find a solution that didn't involve dirtying more containers. The first pic below contains berries, string cheese, and pepperonis after one evening, which all stayed intact overnight. That's a win in my book. Since there aren't any photos on the site, the second pic is of the underside of the lid - note that there are channels that hug along the five separations between compartments and along the circumference of the lid. They're airtight enough to maintain freshness, haven't put liquids in it to test for watertightness because we don't put runny wet things in our trays. We found the lid works best if you take the time to press down on the five channels AND the perimeter all the way around because sometimes the latter can get seated somewhat wonky (or when you're quickly/absent-mindedly making trays). Time will tell with its longevity in the top rack of our dishwasher. Nice that the lidded trays now stack well in the fridge without sliding or being off-kilter due to the contents as in the third pic. All in all, we're so far pleased with the performance and the amount of time we're saving in the morning prepping these things."
