One of the most challenging tasks we have as mamas is feeding our little ones! You want to give them healthy options, but sometimes they can be so picky! The Snack Spinner can help and we are here to give you a few ideas for what to pack in your spinner! Remember, there are no rights or wrongs. Whatever works best for you and your little ones will work great. Just avoid any snacks with a liquid consistency (apple sauce, yogurt, or sauces).
Fun fact: during one of our observations when testing the snack spinner, a 3 year old boy loved the snack spinner so much that he asked his mom to fill it with water so that he could drink from it. So cute! But please don’t try to carry water in the Snack Spinner, while it would stay in the Snack Spinner itself, it may leak to other compartments!
Here are some of our favorite snacks to pack in the Snack Spinner!
- Pea puffs
- Blueberries (halved)
- Orange wedges
- Soft pears (hard pears can be choking hazards until your child is 4)
- Grapes cut in fourths
- Small cheese cubes (¼ in)
- Mozzarella balls cut in small pieces or long
Note: Food safety is so important to us so we do want to remind you to cut up your fruit and other snacks to an appropriate size for the age of your child. To learn more about what foods need to be cut, and to what size, check out more info from the CDC.
We hope your kiddo loves these snack ideas and has so much fun with their Snack Spinner! If you don’t have a Snack Spinner yet to pack all your kiddos favorite snacks, go grab yours now!
